Assam has reported 90 more Covid19 deaths and 5,699 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
Confirming the news, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Wednesday evening said the new cases were reported out of 1,16,119 tests in the last 24 hours.
While sharing the data on Covid19 in the state, chief minister Sarma said the overall positivity percentage of Assam stood at 4.91% on Wednesday.
Of the new cases, the Kamrup Metro district alone reported 670 cases.
Assam’s Covid19 recovery rate stood at 85.21% on Wednesday.
“Summary of 26/5/2021 – Today’s Total 5699; Overall Positivity Percentage (5699 cases out of 116119 test done = 4.91%); Kamrup (M) 670; Death 90; Recovery Rate 85.21%,” chief minister Sarma tweeted.
On Tuesday, Assam reported 92 Covid19 deaths and 5,767 positive cases.
The positive cases were confirmed out of 1,14,315 tests.
Assam’s overall positivity percentage stood at 5.04% on Tuesday.
Of the total cases reported on Tuesday, Kamrup Metro district reported 624 cases.
