Assam reported 43 more Covid19 deaths and 3,948 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
Confirming the news, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Tuesday evening said the new cases were confirmed out of 1,33,212 tests.
Assam’s overall positivity percentage stood at 2.96% on Tuesday, as per the data shared by the Assam chief minister.
Of the new cases, Kamrup Metro district alone reported 341 cases.
Hundreds of people recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.
The state’s recovery rate stood at 87.75% on Tuesday.

India reported 86,498 new Covid19 cases in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest in 66 days, the Union health ministry said on Tuesday.
India’s active caseload further declined to 13,03,702.
A total of 1,82,282 patients recovered across the country in the last 24 hours.
The Covid19 recovery rate increased to 94.29% on Tuesday.
Currently, the weekly positivity rate stands at 5.94% while the daily positivity rate stands at 4.62%.
So far, 23.61 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive, the Union health ministry said.
