Assam recorded 35 new cases of COVID-19 during the last 24 hours taking the total to 427 on Monday.

Among the 35 new cases, 18 are in Golaghat, six in Kokrajhar quarantine centre, five in Karimganj, two each in Tinsukia and Sivasagar while one each positive case registered in Jorhat and Dhemaji.

State health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter early Monday morning to announce the new development.

However, the State witnessed 57 recovered cases.

These recovered people have already been discharged from various hospitals across the State.

At present there are 363 active cases.

The State witnessed four deaths from COVID-19 so far.

Three of the patients who had tested COVID-19 positive migrated from the State.
