Guwahati: A man in Golaghat, Assam was allegedly murdered by his brother on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.
According to reports, the accused has been identified as Dhayjya Saikia.
He allegedly killed his brother, Prabin Saikia over a family dispute.
Locals said that they did not know much about the dispute, but Dhayjya attacked Prabin right after they had a meal.
Prabin reportedly was hit on his chest leaving some severe internal injuries and external injuries.
While he was immediately taken to the hospital, he died on the way, reports stated.
The police have begun an investigation.
The accused is reportedly on the run but the police said that they will nab him soon.
