A woman was thrashed to death by her husband in Gohpur over a family dispute.
As per locals, the woman identified as Priya Mahato used to have frequent fights with her husband over reasons best known to them.
Her husband, identified as Govind Mahato had a similar fight with Priya on Monday night and the verbal fight soon turned physical.

Govind in anger started to beat his wife with a steel pipe resulting in severe injuries on her head internally.
The fight was stopped by neighbours but by then she already was severely injured.
Although she was taken to a hospital immediately by neighbours, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

The police were informed by the neighbours and Priya’s family and the police are investigating the matter.
Govind was reported to be on the run till the filing of this report.
