Tokyo Olympic bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain’s boxing gloves have received the highest bid at the e-auction.

The Centre auctioned gifts and mementos received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of his birthday.

Assam pugilist Lovlina’s gloves with a base price of Rs. 80 lakh, received a bid of Rs. 1.92 crore.

A buyer has offered Rs 1.92 crore for Lovlina’s gloves. Eleven persons have put in a bid for the gloves till now.

There are 1,330 items under the hammer in this edition of the e-auction, the proceeds from which will be spent for the “Namami Gange Mission”.

Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra’s javelin got a bid of Rs. 1.5 crore.

Chopra’s javelin had a base price of Rs. 1 crore at the auction organised by the culture ministry.

Other items at the auction included paralympian Avani Lekhara’s t-shirt.

The racquet that PV Sindhu used in her bronze medal-winning olympic match was also a part of the auction.
