The Kaziranga National Park was declared open for tourists on Friday.
Assam forest minister Parimal Suklabaidya on Friday declared the national park open for the season 2021-22 during a function organized at the entrance of the national park at Kohora in Assam’s Golaghat district.
Forest minister Parimal Suklabaidya was welcomed with gayan-bayan as he reached Mihimukh.

Agriculture minister Atul Bora and Dr. Amit Sahai, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (WL) and Hirdesh Mishra, Chief Conservator of Forests and Golaghat deputy commissioner Mrigesh Narayan were also present on the occasion.
Later, forest minister Suklabaidya along with agriculture minister Bora and other tourists visited the Kaziranga National Park driving a jeep himself.

After visiting the park, the forest minister along with the guests offered food to the elephants of the national park.
While speaking at the opening ceremony of Kaziranga National Park, the Assam forest minister felicitated five tourists from outside the state and welcomed them to Kaziranga National Park.
On Friday, only partial routes to the Kaziranga National Park in Kohora and Bagori forests were opened for the tourists.
The rest of the national park will be opened for the public in the near future.
According to the Kaziranga National Park authority, the jeep safari was already opened for tourists.
The forest minister also released a documentary on the Kaziranga National Park on the occasion.
