A group of students of JB College, Jorhat, have launched an online grocery store through an app, which will enable one to get their essentials home delivered.

The app which is available on Google Play store has been named Grahak/You order we deliver and is managed by AmazeMen.

The online grocery store is stocked with about 500 items and promises to deliver everything fresh.

The App states that the online grocery store will help one to do away with the hassle of standing in line and hop from store to store for different items.

Apart from essentials, people can also order medicines and vegetables.

The three students behind this concept are Bedanta Saikia, Tapan Borgohain and Suruj Goswami.

The App was today launched in the presence of JB College teacher Rinku De and noted businessman Lalit Chandra Saikia among others in a small ceremony held at Hotel Alohi Ghar.

AASU Jorhat unit president Arjun Moni Bhuyan, who attended as special guest praised the initiative and said that it was a welcome move that youths here were talking to business.

“As they will be serving consumers they should first stand in the shoes of a consumer and find out what is a consumer’s likes and dislikes, ” he said.
