Guwahati residents will get a kaleidoscopic view of the folk culture of the Northeast at the Shilpgram Mahotsav, 2021 in the city.
This will provide the people a much-needed opportunity to unwind after a stressful Covid-19 induced phase that forced them to keep indoors for months.
The Shilpgram Mahotsav will commence from February 18 at Shilpgram here and continue till February.

The 15th anniversary of Shilpgram, which was established in 2006, will coincide with the folk festival.
The North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) under the ministry of culture will organize the festival that will comprise folk music and dance forms of different tribes of the northeastern region.
People will also be able to enjoy the flavours of different traditional cuisines and purchase traditional artifacts and handloom products on display at an exhibition being organized on the occasion.
The festival will also allow local artisans from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura to showcase their products before the public.
Asom Sahitya Sabha president Kuladhar Saikia will be the chief guest on the occasion.
