A newly constructed electric crematorium was launched in Guwahati on Monday.
Guwahati development department minister Siddhartha Bhattacharyya inaugurated the crematorium, which is located in the Ulubari area of the city.
The crematorium has been named as Dr Banikanta Kakoti Electric Crematorium and it has bene constructed by the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority in a bid to prevent pollution.
