The official website of Gauhati University (GU) was reportedly hacked on Sunday morning by some unknown ‘hackers’, who directed the link clicks to a porn site.
As per reports, the homepage of the website of the prestigious university was redirected to a pornographic site.
The visitors, when entered the homepage, were greeted with a message- Upcoming question papers leaded: QUESTION PAPERS.
When the link was clicked, the users were directed to a pornographic site.
Till the time of filing of this report, the website was put down and GU sources informed that authorities were working on fix the problem.
No information about the ‘hackers’ involved was shared by the authorities.
