Assam government has invited applications from inter-caste married couples for availing financial incentives under the Inter Caste Marriage Scheme, 2021-22.
According to a promo, shared by the Assam government on its Twitter handle (MyGov Assam), the scheme has been announced by the state government to promote social harmony.
The last date for applying for the incentive is December 3, 2021.
To avail of the financial incentive, a couple must have performed inter-caste marriage between April 2019 and March 2021.
However, one spouse of the couple must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) community and the other from the General caste.

For availing of the financial incentive for inter-caste married couples announced by the Assam government, the annual income of the couple should not exceed Rs 5 lakh.
