The Assam government has asked its employees, who have been fully vaccinated, to join their respective offices from Monday.

An order in this regard was issued on Sunday by the commissioner & secretary to the general administration department the of Assam, MS Manivannan.

The directive has been issued to ensure smooth functioning of the Assam government offices, which remained closed due to rising cases of Covid19 cases across the state.

IAS officer Manivannan in the order said all the employees of the Assam government, who have received both the doses of Covid19 vaccine have been directed to attend office from June 14, 2021 regularly.

However, the Assam government employees have been asked to attend their respective offices following all the Covid19 protocols issued by the government.

“In order to ensure smooth functioning of Government offices, all the employees of Government of Assam who have received both the doses of COVID-19 vaccine are hereby directed to attend office from 14/06/2021 regularly, following all Covid related protocols issued by the Government. This has the approval of the competent authority,” the order read.

The Assam government on May 12, 2021 ordered to shut all offices for 15 days in urban and semi-urban areas of the state in the wake of the rising COVID19 cases.

The state government extended the closure order and on May 26 directed that in urban areas, all offices, both government and non-government, would remain closed.

The state government also issued new guidelines from time to time.
