A 13-year-old girl from Assam Tejaswini Gajurel has got the opportunity to witness moon landing of Chandrayaan-2 live at the headquarters of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in Bangalore on September 7.
Tejaswini hails from Sunpura village of Sadiya circle located in Tinsukia district of Assam.

She is a Class VIII student of Kendriya Vidyalaya Nirjuli located in Papum Pare district of Arunachal Pradesh.
Tejaswini is the daughter of Kabiraj Gajurel and Kabita Gajurel. Her parents are working as doctors in Arunachal Pradesh.
She has been selected to witness the historic moment by ISRO through the Chandrayaan 2 quiz competition on space technology.

Apart from Tejaswini, three other students from Northeast – Ankur Roy from Tripura, Kumar Lige Basarfrom Arunachal Pradesh and Ribait Phawa from Meghalaya – also will witness the moon landing of Chandrayaan 2 live from ISRO headquarters.
They will witness the Chandrayaan-2 landing with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other scientists at ISRO.
ISRO successfully launched Chandrayaan-2, India’s second mission to the Moon on July 22, 2019.

The Rs 978-crore Moon mission was launched from the second launch-pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, in Andhra Pradesh.
