Although flood water has receded but left behind miseries for the villagers of Kumrakata, Raikata, Thaplaguri, Kanduguri, Nobhanga, Hatimura and many other villages in Assam’s Hojai district.
Villagers who were in the relief camps are moving towards their houses, which are in woeful condition.
Tisumati Langthasa, a flood affected in Theplaguri said, “We have lost everything in this flash flood.”
She said on Monday morning water entered her house and within two hours everything was submerged.
She further lambasted the Government for not providing any help, playing with emotions of innocent public at the time of elections.
She said her NRC papers are also completely damaged in the flood.
