Five people, including a child, were killed and at least three persons seriously injured on Sunday in a road mishap at Besimari under Dalgaon police station in Assam’s Darrang district.
Police said five people travelling in a Swift Dzire died on the spot when the car, which was heading towards Mangaldai collided head-on with a truck on NH 15.
The deceased have been identified as Monowara Begum, Saniya Akhtar, Ibrahim Ali, Azad Ali and Farhad Ali.
Sources said the deceased were returning from Rowta after shooting videos for their YouTube channel.
The injured persons, who were also traveling the sedan, were rushed to Mangaldai Civil Hospital in critical condition and subsequently shifted to Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH).
However, the deceased persons have not been identified as of now.
