Bongaigaon: A major tragedy was narrowly averted on Wednesday (July 17) in Bongaigaon district of Assam following prompt actions of railway personnel.
According to reports, a minor fire broke out in the Gandhidham Express while the train was traversing the Majgaon locality near Bongaigaon in Assam.
The fire is believed to have originated from the train’s brakes due to a technical malfunction.
Upon noticing the fire, railway workers intervened, preventing the situation from escalating.
Officials are now investigating the cause of the technical glitch that led to the brake fire.
No injury or causality was reported due to the incident.
