Multiple female candidates have accused the security personnel of conducting inappropriate and invasive searches, violating their privacy and dignity.

Nalbari: A disturbing incident has come to light involving the body checks conducted before the Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE) at the Swahid Smriti Senior Secondary School, Belsor in Nalbari district.

Multiple female candidates have accused the security personnel of conducting inappropriate and invasive searches, violating their privacy and dignity.

Nabanita Sarma, one of the affected candidates, took to social media to share her harrowing experience.

She described how the security personnel touched her and other female candidates in inappropriate areas, even reaching under their clothing. Sarma’s account has sparked widespread outrage and calls for a thorough investigation.

According to her, security personnel, who were female, touched her and other female candidates in a manner that she deemed inappropriate and unacceptable.

“They even checked undergarments during checking, It was not only me; there were other women candidates who were subjected to similar treatment,” Sarma claimed in a live video.

Other candidates who appeared at the same exam center have corroborated Sarma’s claims, stating that the body checks were carried out in a highly inappropriate manner.

They expressed their shock and discomfort over the treatment they faced.

Following the allegations, the Director General of Police (DGP) of Assam, G.P. Singh, has ordered an investigation into the matter. He has directed the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Nalbari district to inquire into the incident and take appropriate action.
