A school teacher was allegedly attacked by two drunk youths with machetes in Majuli on Saturday morning.
As per the police, the youths under the influence of alcohol had attacked the teacher over a minor quarrel.
The way the teacher was attacked, it was clear that they had an intention to kill him.
The victim has been identified as Prabhat Das.

He was attacked during a picnic in the morning but the exact reason is yet to be known.
Although the teacher was attacked with sharp machetes, he somehow managed to escape without any major injury.
No one has yet been arrested but the police have initiated an investigation.
