The recovery of a mutilated body of a woman in Bokakhat has left both the police and the locals in a state of shock and a panic-like situation has been created in the area.
The body was recovered late on Thursday night from Sapjuri area of Bokakhat.
Even though it looks like a case of hit-and-run, police, however, have not left out murder suspicion.
The body has been disfigured to such an extent that till the filing of this report the police wasn’t able to identify the victim.
Police suspect that the victim was first raped and then murdered and to conceal her identity, a vehicle was repeatedly run over her body, mutilating her face beyond recognition.
The case is being investigated and the police are hopeful that they will crack the case at the earliest.
