The 30 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has performed its first community outreach programme for the year 2020 at Sonitpur district of Assam.

This time it has opted for free distribution of sports kits to children belonging to far-flung areas of Sonitpur district.

The programme was intended to channelize the strength and energy of youth of the district in the right direction.

The programme comes as a continuation of frequent targeted outreach programme benefiting people of the locality.

The programme was conducted at Khanamukh High School on Monday where the number of beneficiaries are estimated to be around 2000 childrens.

The free sports kit distribution programme was presided over by Dinesh Singh Chandel, commandant 30 Battalion CRPF in the presence of various school principals of Khanamukh and Balipara villages.

Speaking in length the commandant said India is one of the youngest nations in the world having the largest number of youth population.

The necessity to engage the youth in a creative activity like sports or art is the paramount need of the hour.

He said lack of facilities should not become an impediment marching in this direction.

Finally the children and school teachers participating in the programme thanked the commandant and CRPF for taking a step in equipping youth to involving in constructive activity.
