Assam COVID19

While the total number of COVID19 positive cases increased to 2,397, a total of 79 other patients, who were earlier infected by the virus, were discharged from various hospitals of Assam on Saturday.

Informing about the total number of discharged patients, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his latest tweet on the state’s COVID19 status at 7.30 pm said 41 more patients have been discharged after they tested negative for the virus twice.

The health minister said while 10 COVID19 patients have been discharged from the Nagaon district hospital, Nagaon, 8 patients have been discharged from Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH), while 7 patients have been discharged from Jorhat Medical College Hospital (JMCH).

Sarma informed that 7 patients have been discharged from Tezpur Medical College Hospital (TMCH), 5 have been discharged from Nalbari district hospital and 4 others have been discharged from Karimganj district hospital.

With the news cases discharged from the hospitals, the total number of discharged cases in Assam has risen to 588.

Assam has so far registered a total of 2,397 COVID19 positive cases with 4 deaths while 3 cases migrated from the state.

The total active COVID19 cases in Assam now stands at 1,802.

In an earlier tweet at 3.30 pm on the day, health minister Sarma informed about the discharge of 38 COVID19 patients from 4 different hospitals across Assam.

He informed that 23 COVID19 patients were discharged from the COVID19 hospital at Kalapahar in Guwahati, 10 patients were discharged from MMCH in the city, 3 patients were discharged from Silchar medical College Hospital (SMCH) and 2 patients were discharged from the Diphu Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
