Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday met his Nagaland counterpart at Jorhat circuit house to discuss the border issue between the two states.
Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio had visited Assam’s Jorhat town on Sunday to discuss the border issue with Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.
“Discussed several issues of mutual interest in order to strengthen the age-old ties & bonhomie b/w two states,” said Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The Assam CM was in Jorhat to inaugurated a newly built auditorium at the premises of the Jorhat Engineering College.
CM Sarma also laid the foundation stone of Auniati University at Auniati Sakha Satra at Kaliapani in Jorhat district’s Teok.
He also paid tributes to great Ahom general Lachit Borphukan at his Maidam (tomb) at Jorhat.
