Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, on Tuesday evening, hosted a dinner for all the MPs from the state. 

Assam MPs, cutting across party lines, were invited to the dinner hosted by the chief minister at Assam Bhawan in New Delhi. 

Apart from the BJP MPs, Congress parliamentarians Gaurav Gogoi, Pradyut Bordoloi and Ripun Bora also attended the dinner party. 

Independent MP Ajit Bhuyan also attended the dinner hosted by the Assam chief minister.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted: “I had the great pleasure of hosting a dinner for Hon MPs of Assam. I sought their inputs & guidance as to how we can collectively accelerate pace of development of our state. I thank all friends for their generosity in sparing time for this get together.”

“An appreciated move by the CM to apprise us on important issues like the ongoing covid vaccination drive in the state & the recent developments on Assam Mizoram border skirmish,” Assam Congress MP Ripun Bora said.
