One Kamal Hussain, a suspected foreign national, was arrested by the police from Morigaon by border police.
Hussain was declared a foreigner by the Foreigners’ Tribunal (FT), yet his name featured in the final NRC published on August 31.
As per reports, a case was also registered against Hussain at FT in 2016 (case number FTC 140/16).
FT declared Hussain a foreigner in June earlier this year.
