The body of a 25-year-old woman was found in a decomposed state in the Kakodunga River under Pulibor Police Station in Upper Assam’s Jorhat on Tuesday.
A police source said the woman has been identified as Junmoni Kalandi of Sensua Tea Estate who reportedly went missing on June 19.
The husband of the woman, Deepak Kalandi lodged a complaint with the Pulibor Police Station.
Kalindi said that she was undergoing quarantine.
The body was spotted by her husband on Tuesday under the bridge, who informed the police.
The couple has two children. The body was sent for post mortem and investigation was on in the case, said a police official.
