After Assam Minister and BJP leader Pijush Hazarika, another BJP leader’s name has come to the fore for ‘threatening’ a Congress leader.
BJP’s candidate in Kamalpur constituency in Assam – Diganta Kalita allegedly threatened Congress leader Parsojyoti Kalita with consequences.
Interestingly, Congress leader Parsojyoti Kalita is a cousin of BJP leader Diganta Kalita.
Assam Congress leader Parsojyoti Kalita alleged that Diganta Kalita, BJP candidate in Kamalpur constituency in Assam, had threatened him with consequences after May 2.
Results for Assam Assembly elections would be announced on May 2.
After receiving alleged threats from BJP leader Diganta Kalita, Congress leader Parsojyoti Kalita has lodged an FIR against the BJP leader.
“Will deal with you after May 2,” said Diganta Kalita while allegedly threatening Parsojyoti Kalita.
Parsojyoti Kalita is campaigning for Assam Congress candidate in Kamalpur – Kishore Bhattacharya.
Parsojyoti Kalita, in his FIR, also alleged that he was being “followed by goons of BJP leader Diganta Kalita” a few days back.
“At least 15 to 20 goons of Diganta Kalita followed me a few days ago,” Parsojyoti Kalita added.

This report of alleged ‘threat’ to a Congress leader from a BJP candidate has come to the fore just a couple of days after Assam minister and BJP leader Pijush Hazarika threatened journalists with dire consequences.
