The Margherita unit of All India Marwari Yuva Mancha (AIMYM) on Wednesday distributed free helmets among the two-wheel riders near Chaligram Petrol Pump in Margherita during an awareness programme on the importance of wearing helmet while riding two-wheeler and seat belt while driving four-wheeler vehicles.

In an effort to reduce the fatal road accident tally which has been a major concern across the country, the Margherita unit of Marwari Yuba Mancha organized the awareness programme.

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Margherita legislator Bhaskar Sharma and Margheirta SDO Sumit Sattawan were also present in the programme.

The activists of the organization also congratulated the people with rose flower who rode their motorcycles wearing helmet.

Talking to Northeast Now, the one of the activists said, “We will continue the initiative for the public interest.”
