Assam ADGP (law and order) Mukesh Agrawal on Thursday visited Kokrajhar to take stock of prevailing law and order situation in the district.
The ADGP also held at review meeting with senior police officials including BTAD IGP Anurag Agrawal, SP Rajen Singh, Kokrajhar additional SP Makut Rabha and other officials at Kokrajhar police guest house.
Later talking to reporters, the senior police officer said he is visiting Kokrajhar to review law and order situation in BTAD regions as well as lower Assam.
He also said the police administration is working round the clock for the safety and security of the people during the Durga puja.
He also said operation against militants is going on in the region.
