Guwahati: A 55-year-old man was arrested by the police in Tinsukia, Assam for allegedly assaulting a minor girl sexually.
According to reports, the accused has been identified as Amar Chakraborty.
The man allegedly assaulted the minor at a shop near the Life Line Hospital.

As the minor told the family about the incident, they approached the police and an investigation was initiated.
During the investigation, the suspect was arrested.
An investigation is being carried out in connection with the incident.

It may be mentioned that a similar case was reported from Tinsukia on Friday where a man tried to molest a seven-year-old girl.
The incident took place in the Sripuria area of Tinsukia.
The accused was identified as Jun Haloi.
While he managed to flee shortly after the incident, the police nabbed him on Friday night.
