A 10-year-old girl was allegedly murdered in Nagaon’s Juria on Monday night.
The deceased minor was identified as Sumaya Akhtar and her dead body was found in the kitchen of her house.
As per her family members, they have suspected their neighbours to be behind the action alleging personal enmity between both the families.

Sumaya’s father said that they have some personal enmity with their neighbours regarding land and property.
They suspected that this might have been the primary reason behind the murder.
He also said that since the entire family except Sumaya were out of the house for a family function, the people entered the house with a motive of burglary but as Sumaya was present in the house, they killed her.

The police have started their investigation and the dead body has been sent for post-mortem.
Sumaya was found hanging to the ceiling of the kitchen and thus all aspects are being investigated.
