Lurinjyoti Gogoi-led Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) gets ready to welcome Tripura royal scion Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma to Assam on September 7, 2021.

Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma, who earlier led the Tripura Congress as the state president, is the chairman of Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (T.I.P.R.A.).

TIPRA emerged as a major political force in Tripura, especially in the tribal belt, after it secured a landslide victory in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections.

AJP president Lurinjyoti Gogoi in a tweet said the party members and workers are eagerly waiting to welcome Debbarma.

“It will be an honor to welcome Shri @PradyotManikya to Assam. Every Assam Jatiya Parishad member and worker is impatiently waiting to receive and hear from you. Looking forward to interacting with you,” Gogoi tweeted.

AJP general secretary and former Assam minister Jagadish Bhuyan informed that they are waiting to welcome Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma to Assam on September 7, 2021.

Stating that the Tripura royal scion’s visit will usher in a new dawn for a united Northeast, Bhuyan on his Twitter handle said his visit will boost the spirits of the people who are fighting for their identity and dignity.

“We are impatiently waiting to welcome Shri @PradyotManikya to Assam on 7th September. He will address a meet of @JatiyaParishad party members,” Bhuyanb tweeted.

“We hope his visit will usher in a new dawn for a united NE & will boost the spirits of the people struggling for their identity & dignity,” he added.
