The activists of All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) on Monday staged a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi against the centre’s bid to pass Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.
AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal held up placards saying that the bill was against the idea of India.
“We reject this bill. It is against the Constitution and against Hindu-Muslim unity,” Ajmal told reporters.
Lok Sabha AIUDF MP from Dhubri, Assam, told reporters when asked about the CAB.
The Lok Sabha MP from Dhubri staged the protest when Union home minister Amit Shah introduced the Bill in Parliament.
The Indian Union Muslim League MPs protested in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue in Parliament premises against the CAB.
