Actor Adil Hussain recently responded amusingly to a fan who congratulated him on emerging an ‘Olympic 2024 winner’
A netizen shared a collage of Turkey’s shooter Yusuf Dikec and Adil Hussain’s photos together and congratulated the latter for winning a silver medal in a social media post on Friday.
“Congratulations sir @_AdilHussain on winning silver at Olympics 2024 for Turkey. Respect,” he wrote
Hussain, in response humorously replied, “Wish this was true… May be it’s not to late to start practicing… Since I have the attitude need to work on the skill set now.”

Turkish air pistol shooter Yusuf Dikec took social media by storm after he bagged a silver medal in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team event alongside his partner Sevval Ilayda Tarhan.
Apart from his skills with the pistol, the things that caught the attention of the netizens was his way of playing at the biggest sporting event in the world with minimum gear.
The 51-year-old only wore regular prescription glasses and earplugs unlike most shooters.
Most professional shooters wear a lot of gear like specialized glasses for better focus and ear protectors for cancelling out any sort of unwanted noise.

Adil’s reply to his fan has garnered over 3000 likes
It amused a number of netizens and they also took to X to have a good laugh with him virtually.
“Start your training from today so that we can get a gold in next Olympic,” one wrote
“Yes, please do visit a range to give it a shot! I moved from Pistol shooting to film shooting and you can be the one to go from film shooting to Pistol shooting!” another added
“He does indeed look like you. For him, the gun. For you, your eyes,” he added
On the work front, Adil Hussain is currently seen in ‘Ulajh’ alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Deviah.
The film released in theatres on August 2.
