The bail plea of 47 persons accused in the lynching of Abhijit Nath and Neelotpal Das in Dokoma on June 8, 2018, was rejected by the court of the Nagaon District and Session Judge.
The final verdict of the case is expected to be declared by the end of this year.
Speaking to the media, families of Abhijit and Neelotpal expressed satisfaction with the court’s decision.
The lynching took place in the backdrop of widespread public rumours over rising child trafficking.
