Four more positive patients have succumbed to COVID19 infections in Assam on Sunday, taking the state’s death toll to 105.
Sharing the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Sunday said the COVID19 victims are from Karimganj, Kamrup Metro, Tinsukia, and Jorhat districts.
Health minister Sarma informed that the victims have been identified as 54-year-old Mridula Ghosh from Karimganj district, 50-year-old Tilak Chandra Das from Kamrup Metro, 62-year-old Santa Sarkar from Tinsukia and 52-year-old Samir Phukan from Jorhat district.
The health minister has expressed his condolences to the families of the COVID19 victims.

In an earlier tweet on the day, health minister Sarma claimed that Assam’s mortality rate stands at 0.24%, which is “lowest” in India.
He also said the state’s recovery rate stands at 75%, which “4th best” in India.
The health minister also informed that Assam has conducted 27,544 COVID19 tests per million, which is “5th best” in India.
