A new office of Team Anna, leading the campaign for Jan Lokpal and anti-corruption of social activist Anna Hazare was inaugurated at Punjabi Bagh in New Delhi on Monday.

The inaugural programme was attended by human rights activist from Assam, Dibyajyoti Saikia, who is a steering committee member of Team Anna and in-charge of Assam.

Speaking on the occasion, the veteran social activist assured of launching a renewed campaign for the rights of common people, especially the farmers from March 23 next.

Anna Hazare said, its about time to give a wake-up call to the common people of the country to rise and fight for their rights. ‘

Hazare further said he will continue his crusade till a Lokpal conducive for the common people is adopted in the country.

Dibyajyoti Saikia who also spoke in the programme said, to fight against corruption, one has to be clean first and become free from corruption.

Saikia also assured that people from Assam and the entire North-east will stand by Anna Hazare in his renewed crusade against corruption.

He also said the youth has to play a pro-active role and keep a hawk eye vigil against corruption for a better society.

Saikia further said, the future of more than 70 per cent of farmers are not secured in the country at present.

He also warned that no one will be allowed to politicize the crusade this time.

Earlier on Sunday, Saikia also delivered a speech at a function in Faridabad of Haryana in the presence of Anna Hazare.
