US Ambassador to India, Kenneth Juster will arrive in Guwahati on Tuesday on his maiden visit to the state of Assam.

Assam Government sources said that the US Ambassador to India, Kenneth Juster will land at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport at Borjhar at around 11 am on Tuesday.

The US Ambassador to India will first visit Shaktipeeth, the Kamakhya Temple after setting his foot for the first time in the State.

After seeking blessings at the Kamakhya Temple, Ambassador Juster will be meeting Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in the afternoon.

Later on Tuesday evening, the US Ambassador will call on the Governor of Assam Prof Jagdish Mukhi at Raj Bhavan.

The US Ambassador will also be meeting officials of Numaligarh Refinery Limited in Guwahati.

On Wednesday the US Ambassador to India will visit Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya, according to sources. On way to Shillong, he will pay a visit to the Northeast Police Academy situated at Barapani.

In Shillong, Ambassador Juster is expected to call on Meghalaya Governor Tathagata Roy and chief minister Conrad K Sangma.
