The Central Working Committee (CWC) of the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL), after its three years’ term (2015-2018), will have a meeting at 11 am on September 2, 2018 (Sunday) in Kokrajhar town.

This was informed in a press release by UPPL general secretary Prodeep Kumar Daimari.

The meeting is considered to be a crucial one as in its meeting, discussions will be held on the dissolution of the first CWC after completion of its three-year tenure and the 1st triennial conference of the party as well as preparations for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2019 and other issues.

The UPPL was formed on August 5 in 2015 at Rongjasali Hall of Dotma in Kokrajhar district.

The party led by former Rajya Sabha MP, Urkhaw Gwra Brahma (UG Brahma) has completed the first term of three years on August 5, 2018.

The dissolution of the CWC and the 1st triennial conference of the UPPL will be held on September 29 and September 30, 2018 at Banargaon of Kokrajhar district.

In this conference, all the inactive members will be relieved from their posts.

Also, all the inactive members will be relieved from their membership from the Central Working Committee (CWC), its wings, cells and will be replaced by other active members of the party.

The press release added that all the office-bearers, members of the Policy Making Body (PMB), Central Working Committee (CWC), Youth Wing, Women’s Wing, Minority Cell, Schedule Caste Cell etc. have been directed that it is mandatory for them to attend the said crucial and last Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the 3-year term of the UPPL.
