AGARTALA: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced its array of 40 star campaigners for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal, with notable figures hailing from the Northeast states.

Among them are Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha.

This line up boasts prominent leaders such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, union home minister Amit Shah, BJP national president JP Nadda and union defence minister Rajnath Singh.

Additionally, it includes regional stalwarts like Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath.

Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma holds the sixth position on the list, emphasizing his significant role in the campaign efforts.

Meanwhile, Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha occupies the seventh spot, showcasing his active involvement in election campaigns in Bengal and unwavering support for BJP candidates in Tripura.
