New Hopes Foundation, a Non-Government Organization (NGO) of students has taken a new initiative of forming a blood donors’ group at Pathsala in Barpeta district.

The blood donors’ group was officially formed on Wednesday at Topobon Children’s Home, Pathsala where Topobon’s Director Professor Kumud Kalita discussed about the aims and objectives of the initiative.

New Hopes Foundation’s Sumanjyoti Choudhury, Parshwa Patgiri, Rajib Choudhury, Anjanjyoti Nath, Simanta Medhi, Arnab Barman, Biplab Baruah,Shubhrajyoti Das were also present at the programme.

The initiative by a young students’ brigade has been welcomed by all as many people have to suffer a lot in search of blood donors.

The NGO aims to set up a network of blood donors all over the State through the group and has urged people to come forward and donate blood voluntarily.

Anybody irrespective of the place, who is willing to offer humanitarian services can join the blood donor group.
