Giving a boost to Swachha Bharat Swastha Bharat (Clean India Healthy India) drive, SSB 37 Bn Mangaldoi has dedicated two modern toilet blocks with running and drinking water facilities to the schools and villagers of Indo-Bhutan international border in Assam.

These toilet blocks, one at Chhaya basti and second at Bholatar equipped with RO facility for drinking water with separate provisions for men and women have been constructed under civic action programme in Northeast region programme.

This has been informed in a press statement issued here by the SSB Bn on Tuesday. The SSB has adopted nine schools in bordering area and doing its bit to improve the infrastructure of these schools to improve the living of villagers and students.

Speaking on the occasion, Rohitashwa, officiating commandant of 37 Bn Mangaldoi said that people of entire north-eastern region and particularly Assam are in a culture of living in a clean environment and contributing something in this direction is of immense satisfaction for SSB.

He also expressed hope that with these facilities not only the students of concerned schools but villagers living in adjoining area will also be benefitted.

Dupty commandant M D Tamang, students, villagers, local prominent citizens were among the participants on this occasion.

They all appreciated the work done by 37Bn SSB in remote bordering area of Udalguri district, the statement added.
