Sensation prevailed across Guwahati after a television journalist was stabbed brutally by a group of miscreants at Ganeshguri on Thursday night.
Chakrapani Parashar, a journalist working for News18 electronic channel was seriously injured during an attack at around 10 pm when he was stabbed at least twice by a restaurant owner along with a few of his employees in the busy Ganeshguri area in the heart of the city right in front of the office of the television channel.
Parashar who was seriously injured in the attack had been rushed to GNRC hospital where his condition is stated to be stable now.
Notably, Parashar had a verbal dual with the restaurant owner over some petty issue. The attack was believed to be a dangerous fallout of that quarrel.
Meanwhile, Dispur police have arrested the restaurant owner and three others involved in the attack. The arrested persons have been identified as Bhabesh Das, Nitin Sarma, Niraz Ahmed and Syed Ali Ahmed.
