The Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club of NTPC Bongaigaon Thermal Power Project situated at Salamati in Kokrajhar district of Assam distributed 160 raincoats and 70 umbrellas to the needy persons including women of the nearby villages.

The distribution was done by Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club under its CSR programme at a ceremonial function on Friday.

The CSR distribution of the items to the nearby villagers for protection during the heavy monsoon was done under the inspiration of Keya Bose, president, Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club.

Dipankar Bose, group general manager, NTPC Bongaigaon attended the function as the chief guest.

On the occasion, Dipankar Bose highlighted various contributions of Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club (BSLC) for welfare of the nearby villages and women’s empowerment.

The CSR distribution programme was highly appreciated by the recipients of the surrounding villages.

Rakesh Kumar, GM (O&M), Nalini Murukadas, VP, BSLC, Dr Anjali, VP, BSLC, Manasi Chakraborty, general secretary and committee members of BSLC were among those present on the occasion.
