Social Welfare Minister of Assam Pramila Rani Brahma filed her nomination from Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Brahma, who is a Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) candidate, is also a minister in the Sarbananda Sonowal government.
Reports stated that she filed her nomination at the deputy commissioner’s office in Kokrajhar.
The minister was accompanied by Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief Hagrama Mohilary and Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Daimary.
Independent candidate Naba Kumar Sarania also filed his nomination papers on Tuesday.
