Tinsukia: The police in Tinsukia, Assam said that they are aiming to conclude the recent “suicide” case at a school within 30 days.

In a press conference held on Saturday, Abhijit Gurav Dilip, Superintendent of Police, Tinsukia, assured that the police are leaving no stone unturned in investigating the unnatural death of a class 10 student at a hostel within the premises of St Paul School.

He said that the police aim to conclude the investigation within 30 days and an Additional SP Tinsukia was assigned to investigate the case.

The SP further said that the post-mortem report suggests suicide, but police urge anyone with evidence to come forward.

It has also come under the scanner that the surveillance camera hard disk was missing.

However, police are on to collect other material evidence and have already recorded statements from eight students who noticed unusual behaviour from the deceased.

The deceased interestingly searched online for “how to commit suicide” and “facts about death” on his father’s mobile before the death, the police official said.

The SP added, “We are committed to a scientific and transparent investigation. We urge the family members and stakeholders to have faith in the process and cooperate with us to reach a fair conclusion.”
