The Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) and Shyam Sundi, Executive member of BTC who is looking after the veterinary department have distributed 51 numbers of utensil milk can instruments to beneficiaries on Monday at Titaguri Veterinary head office in Kokrajhar of Assam.
Talking to reporters, Shyam Sundi, EM of Veterinary department said that a total of 86 beneficiaries from four district of BTC have been selected by the Selection Committee of BTC Authority under State Own Priority Development (SOPD) one-time aid grant scheme in the year of 2018-19 and 51 beneficiaries of Chirang district and official distribution ceremony programme was held at Titaguri Veterinary office in Kokrajhar.
He said that a set of milks can utensils instruments will be helpful to all beneficiaries to produce hygienic milk in their production, to convert milk to cream, transportation and more financial benefit to farmers through milk production making and selling and doing business as a marketing .
Sundi said they have given seven items to beneficiaries including milk can of 20 and 40 litres cap, milk plunger, cream separator, gum boot, rain coat and hand gloves to use in their daily production of milks from cow, goats, buffalo in the region.
He also said that per beneficiaries have been getting utensils instruments amounting to Rs 22,000 from schemes and BTC has been producing good numbers of milks and customers are getting daily to consume from beneficiaries in the region.
Joynal Hoque, officer of the Dairy Development department said that officially the department has distributed utensils and instruments of milks cans to Chirang beneficiaries and the same will be distributed to the rest of three districts after the Durga puja festival.
