One Facebook user was arrested by Tezpur police on Thursday on charges of uploading a morphed picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Benerjee.
This was informed by additional superintendent of police (headquarter), Sonitpur district, Numal Mahatta at Tezpur on Thursday.
The accused has been identified as Mandir Ali of Sirajuli area under Dhekiajuli police station in Sonitpur district.
Mandir Ali uploaded a morphed picture of PM Modi on his Facebook page and made derogatory comments against the Hindu religion.
