The nomination of Anil Borgohain, the Congress candidate for the Lakhimpur Parliamentary Constituency for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls, has been adjourned during Phase-I of the scrutiny process.
Reports stated that Borgohain is the only candidate whose nomination has been adjourned till 5 pm on Wednesday (read March 27). His fate hangs in balance as his nomination will be accepted or rejected once the entire scrutiny process is over.
Twelve candidates have filed their nominations for the Lakhimpur Lok Sabha seat till date which includes Borgohain.
