Along with the rest of the world, the International Day of Yoga was celebrated in Kokrajhar district in a befitting manner on Friday.

The Kokrajhar district administration in association with Bharat Swabhiman Nayas, Patanjali Yog Samity Kokrajhar observed the fifth International Day of Yoga at Kokrajhar district sports association indoor stadium.

BTC deputy chief Kampa Borgoyary inaugurated the programme by lighting the inaugural lamp. Kokrajhar deputy commissioner Partha Pratim Mazumdar, superintendent of police Rajen Singh, school children and others participated in the programme.

The BTC deputy chief said the yoga makes people physically strong and it provides good health. He said people of all walks of life should come forward to take physical exercise like yoga for healthy body and healthy mind.
